Hearing the cries of the locals, sir Nicolas has decided he must slay the dragon that has been terrorizing the area, and has spent a fortnight tracking the monster, relying on it's shining nose to lead him to it's lair.
painter, hour and a half, mostly because I have no memory and my brushes were slow :x

I'm sick as a dog at the moment - good all year and then sick for the holiday season - anyway, I managed to attempt this holiday-themed topic.
I noticed that I am apparently washing out my colours a little more then I think when applying digital colour to my lineart; since, I'm sometimes slouching and have an entirely lcd workspace. I used a bit of gamma correction to compensate for the "darkening" effect that occurs when viewing my lcd panel at an oblique angle. I'll try to slouch less from now on... when I feel a little better, that is.

Ogar555 Hey, thx, your's is pretty good as well. Somewhat asymmetrical, but that might add to the effect. I like the angle you chose for the dragon, and looks like a good start on rendering, but there is somewhat of a lack of depth. Saint nick feels completely unnattached, and should have some of the surrounding color reflect on him, he could also use some work in the anatomy dept.

Thanks for the crits Hamsta! :D
I'll go work on 'em rightaway! And maybe update this piece here. Maybe even make a full fledged pic out of it.
Merry Christmas!
