Hey everyone, well I finally decided to post something.

This image was done in simple technical pencil...BUT...once I receive my tablet that I ordered (Intuos3/6x8) I will make sure to color it digitally, yay.

I am thinking of what color scheme to use, any suggestions would be great. If you see any probs with the pic give me crits dammit! Also I'd like to ask what you think of it, in general.

Hmm I'm just curious why the moderator moved my post to the critique forum from the finished works forum? Can't a finished work be critiqued?

it was probably moved because you were planning on coloring it later, so maybe it was considered not to be finished.

The one thing that jumps out at me in this pencil version is that the inside of the window is the same color as the curtains. It seems too monotone. I would darker the interior a few levels of value which would accentuate the girl. Her lips look a tad small too me. I am curious to see what you will do with the colored version. I'll check back.

pretty cool.

there is a lot of empty space in the window.
i would let the curtains meet at the top,
and then have them drape off to the sides (like an upside-down "v" )

Thanks for the comments guys...

hylandr2: You are right about the window background being flat, I thought so too but I got sick of using the pencil on it, in PS I will do something interesting and darker with it. Her mouth is small but thats because I am mixing realism with anime, so...I like the small features and bigger eyes (;

DSillustration: You are right, I will do something more dynamic with those curtains.

PS: I just received my tablet so I will try coloring it but it might take me a while since I'm still getting used to the tablet, it is *&$%##@ing great though!

Overall, very nice. I jus notice a few odd looking things with her anatomy. Her right arm (our left) looks too far forward, almost like its broken and hanging there. Because her body looking like its angled slightly to her right, her arm loks to be in the wrong position in comparison. Also, she looks hypotnized with her eyes just barely off from staring right at us. Not sure what your intention was with her eyes. They are also a tad too large if you are going for total realism.

This is cool. The cracks are very nice. Her face looks stylized, but in a pleasant way, her nose could be more defined though (nostrils).

Personaly I think pastel colours would fit the piece and its style well, like a light green for her clothes. But that's up to you.
