Yo. Posted this over at eatpoo also, I need some feedback on it. I know it's not the most exciting pic in the world yet, I'm planning on adding a background soon (a city, because I've had this obsession with huge cities for a while now). Just clue me in on any errors in color, anatomy, etc. In particular, I'd like to know if there are any major errors in the colors I've chosen, and also I'd like to know how background colors affect black (as in black fabric).
So, what do you think? Thanks in advance!

I like it, I think it's pretty modern looking so the city background you're talking about would look good. I'm a fan of sketchy work, so maybe I'l biased.
I think the color looks good, I think I'd had to see it with the background to see if they clash but what you have down looks fine to me.

I really like her head. The tilt is really pleasing.
I'd work on her right hand a bit. It seems like an important thing to get just right given the composition. If it helps you, try doing some studies of your own hand. You can flip a drawing of your left hand if you're right handed.
I also like the experimentation with the background color. The little bits of other color are strongly influencing the piece overall (in a good way, I think).

Thank you! -->Juice: I'm also a fan of sketchy work, in fact, I don't think I've ever done anything that isn't sketchy. :D I think you're right about it being kinda modern-looking, I've been trying to design a dress that fits that.
-->LittleJohn: Glad you like the head, I like it too! About the hand, it was sort of a temporary fix, took me about 5 second to do, but I've been learning that maybe sometimes putting more initial effort into a part of your drawing will benefit the whole thing. Rather than just banging out something really loosely and then leaving it for a while to focus on other things. Glad you like the background, I didn't really like the blue so I covered it up with that yellowish color but I'm thinking of putting in a soft purple at the bottom.
Thanks again, I'll post an update soon!
