The Rush Through The Canyon

Background:
This is the story of Henry Avery Morgan. He often gets into the strangest situations because
he is a little bit clumsy. Involved in a new adventure he landed on a mysterious island where
fantastic things are happening. After he had met the secret tribe with its huge war creature
the trouble began. He cannot be serious, so what has he done that the complete tribe is after him ?

The rush through the canyon is my interpretation of the topic "spectacular".
My imagination led me to a movie scene playing in my mind. There would be
breathtaking action combined with a good portion of humor. I love adventure themes and it
was great fun to do that painting. The situation is even more spectacular for my little friend
Lizzy, who is hangin' on the rope too.

real nice, but the weakest thing IMO is the character. his facial anatomy is wrong- eyes are too big, and it just looks like it was done without confidence. also, the brush strokes on his closer hand are ugly to me. the hand further away is too wide. i think if you worked on the character more it would be amazing. its still a nice illustration.

Thanx, but it was not my intention to do a realistic character. He is painted
in a comic style way and I think it fits. Guybrush Threepwood is the name that pops up in my mind :tihi:

I think this is really well done, only thing I see wrong with it is that his face doesnt really look that fantastic. It looks too cartoonish and the rest of the painting seems more realistic.

Really really cool, but the first thing I thought when I saw that guy in the red suit I thought " What the heck is Austin Powers doing in this Psychadelic Amazon?" heh, I only saw his hat later.

the only thing i can see wrong with it is that his legs make awkward tangents with the remainder of the picture. good stuff tho :)

Thanx guys,
I know there are some mistakes in it, but the cartoonish look in his face
was on purpose. I wanted to exaggerate his complete expression.
Maybe next time, I'll manage it better to merge the realistic and the cartoon style.:S
