i went to the Gagosian gallery here in ny recently and had the pleasure of witnessing some of the most beautiful paintings ive ever seen.ever.

her name is Jenny Saville--and shes a modern master in my book.

the paintings i saw were like 10 ft tall by like 6 feet wide( huge) and some of the strokes looked like they were done with a friggin broom they were so big. heres a link to her work--if you ever get a chance to see her work in person gogogo

i've seen a lot of her paintings(not in person unfortunately). enormous paintings-painted with oils too! i have heard that her new work is a lot different but havent seen any yet.

This ladies work is ripping cool! Maybe at times a bit disturbing (I am sure thats the point) but man can she paint!

yeah these are totally disgusting paintings. and really big, i dig her too. she's a neater (tighter? hmm) version of freud i think.
