You cannot link pictures directly off your hard drive. You must first upload them to a website using a file transfer program and then link to them using the img tags.

and please.. do not use pdf.. but use jpg instead.. its alot smaller in size

Ah yes, use the 'save for web' option in photoshop, and also try to keep your image less than 800 pixels on the longest side, so it fits easily on most screens. And NEVER post an original file at the working resolution - in addition to taking long to load, unfortunately, it makes it quite easy for someone unscrupulous to steal your work and impossible for you to prove it was ever yours.
