Wow, I love it when artists post their concepts from games they've been working on.

This is great stuff, and feels just like the game: Mystical, but I see it's getting darker and darker. ;)

Woha Viag, awesome stuff. I really like the moody style you're showing on these ones. The 2nd one is my fav. It's also priceless to see how you show different moods with the use of color.

I like the nearly finished, a little bit sketchy style. It leaves something for the mind to create and doesn't show everything.
And really great work with the texture integration. At least I think that not all the textures are painted by hand. These "external" textures with your hand painted textures and the overall style really work good.
Do you have any tips integrating textures in a painting to they don't look out of place and fit with the rest of the painting because your really look great. Of course if all the textures are hand painted then forget the last sentence.

Great work. :O

Those are the finest environments I've seen in a very long time. I kind of wish the ones that had figures in them... didn't. But aside from that, absolutly fantastic.

AHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!
great job. quality and designs are off the hook.
actually I was thinking last week that how come there hasn't been PoP3 concepts in CA.org yet and here they are.. magnificent! they keep the look of the previous games but still add a lot of new to it. it's funny how the first game was just this fun adventure game but then it keeps evolving to a darker style. imo the face of the huge statue look a bit flat but other than that...
i salute you :hatsoff: :hatsoff:

December 1st, 2005, 02:31 PM
wow :x thanks a lot guys , your words means a lot for me , that's really encouraging.

The game is nice but it looks a bit different from the concept , delay and engine contraint , by the way it was great to work with a dynamic team of concept artist , lot of emulation and nice things to come in the futur :^^:

I dont think ubi will realease a book for pop 3, but they are thinking about this for the next project

again thanks for you comments it gives me boost for my next pics ! :yayca:

Damn. Your personal style does wonders for the content here. Your moody color and light schemes combined with your kinetic brushstrokes are superb and really compliment the gritty middle-eastern setting.

I havent read through all of the posts. I have a question I seem to ask all those people that show good work. What did you use to create these? Painter IX? Or the traditional style?

fan-fucking-tastic!
These backgrounds are super inspiring. The only crit I can pssibly make is towards the characters seeming sort of out of place with some of the pics, they also feel a little static/wonky(the characters, not the pics).
Excellent work regardless!
