thusly i got a lot of work done. yikes i'm a conceptart.org addict. thankfully it was back up when i got home... maybe my administrator at work was playing a well-thought out joke on me. site outage? problems fixed? thanks for listening.

Oh man that sucks, I used to do that but I got over the CA.org addiction. Best way to avoid this again is to clear a four wall room out of all contents, then paint saltines with cream cheese on the wall. Then buy a deck chair, place it in the room, then when CA.org is down just go into this room and 'relax', works miracles!

I've constantly been having problems for over the past month. On the very RARE occasion I can log into my account- or go to any ones profiles to hopefully send a message inquiring about help, anything I uploaded will not appear and half the time the forum appears non-existent. I've tried to log in on various servers (okay- two... work and home). It's extremely frustrating as this is my favorite place to go.

I always get a 404 error, but by the sound of it, some of you guys have working profiles?it might depend on whether they're talking about the CA3 profile or the CA Forum Profile, which aren't necessarily the same. i can get to my forum profile using the UserCP link at the top of a froum page and choosing Edit Profile. but choosing My Profile gets a 404 -- its target is the CA3 profile page.

nothing in CA3 seems accessible now, though whether this is temporary or not is as yet unclear. it'd be a shame if CA3 doesn't come back, it was starting to shape up very well as a community resource, imo.

I don't know if this problem has been addressed already, and if it has, I appologize, but when I change the title of my sketchbookthread, the change doesn't show in the forum.... it still has the same title as when I updated the thing april 26.

Anything I can do? I might have missed it if there was anything new I had to do to change titles....

Dile, feedback is alot more helpfull then being silent about it. Jason created this thread for these kind of posts. When more people saying the same thing its alot more obvious to see that its problem happening to more members then just one. Its then up to Jasons to reply with,

"thank you I'l adress blah blah situation .. anything else?"

I thought it might be helpful to add a date immediately before I first experience the problem that was well after other folks first reported it. if the admin choose to examine the history of my thread and compare it to the other threads he might find similar characteristics that would help him diagnose the bug.

but hey, it ain't like I no nevah had to troubleshut no nothin' nevah befo, kno what I'm sayin'?

just a heads up...thanks for reporting all the bugs btw...i appreciate it.

we upgraded servers again, changed datacenters, changed web IT companies, and are finally done right there. Now we go about bug fixing again, upgrading to all the latest tech, setting up the new main page etc...we are back on track...

we had the same data center for years and they just made a giant mess even though we switched management there. We went with a great company out of chicago with mucho better connection times and brand new servers AGAIN. no more windows servers either...so we should see improvement over the next couple weeks.

Well, no matter what I do I get an invalid password when I try to log into my account.

Julianna, I had the same problem. It's probably something to do with the new servers/updates.
Just click on the "request new email" button and type your email.
Then copy&paste the new password in. Should work.
You can't use the "change password" function to then change it back to your original password yet, it doesn't work. But that function will be back at some point.

As for my bugs:
+ I still can't change the main title of my sketchbook thread. It only changes the title of the first post. I seem to be the only one on the forums who is having this trouble.
+ Although the user profiles are back online (and working great btw), whenever I click on someone's username, I get sent to my account page.
+ Like I mentioned above, the "change password" function doesn't work. I get an error page.

My nickname changed while 3.0 was down (from "John O." to just John), and now i have my old profile floating around on 3.0 inaccessible and a new one that doesn't have the links in 3.0 (friends, a group i started). If those could be merged i'd appreciate it, as it is now i have problems logging on to 3.0.

Ok are any of you guys having problems editing your profile colours?
The colour scheme reverts to the default scheme as soon as I have logged out, its a bit annoying as the text is the same colour as the background.

Don't know if this is a bug but I noticed if you're not signed into the boards and you click Groups or anything along the top it won't work..I'm guessing because the url doesn't have a slash /..it goes like community.conceptart.orggroups instead of how it goes if you're signed in community.conceptart.org/groups.

When I click to see someone else's profile (directly on the icon) it takes me to 'my account'. If I click from the dropdown menu it goes to the forum profile and not the new community one. Anyone else have this error?

I sorta have the same thing happening. I'm not receiving emails about threads that are updated or notifications of a PM. Everything seems to work fine on the forums themselves and in the User Control Pannel, so it could be a problem with my email client.

I've been noticing record setting kinds of numbers in the visitors to the site section of the forums mainpage. plus 3.0 is working again and better than ever. I'm sure this will all be worked out really soon, it just panicked me a little at first --- "WTF NO MESSAGES FROM CONCEPTART.ORG?"

I know part of the internet dies whenever ca mails me my subscription notifications...a lot of mail is sent to keep me up on my fanboy-stalker game. :yayca: hehe
