First figure drawing

i dont have any experience what so ever in figure drawing but i decided to improve on it.. so here is my first try. Obviously its a leperchauna and its not that great. I've been studying loomis for about a week so hopefully at this point i can only get better. Btw could you guys give me some names of good anatomy books that i can study also.. that would be great.

Well First, might want to resize those images.
To study figure's, you really want to study from life. go sit somewhere were there are people, study them and sketch them out. There really isn't a substitution to this. You want to start off doing a lot of quick study gesture poses too that helps.
