There seem to be an Illustration and design education at this school, is anyone familiar with it. Or any other illustration and design educations in Germany?

one major problem with artschools in germany is, that they won´t teach you in fine arts the way you´d like it. Mostly everything related to comics, sculpturing or concept art is declared as "low" art. i finisihed studying grafic design at the "lette-verein", an artschool in berlin with over 200 years of tradition...they could not teach me any drawing techniques at all-it´s all about designing intelectual advertising campains and stuff like that. Try to apply at a private institution like games-academy(in berlin), for instance.

I was afraid of that :) that most illustration educations would be related to communication and designs. Berlin is a bit too far away for me, i would like to stay in the north western part of germany. I've been there quite often and i like it there. The Kunst acedemie in groningen (Minerva) would also be an option.

Thanks for the replies!
