This is a very impressive website. I just joined, and I thought I should post something that I'm working on. Some of you rpg guys out there might recognize this. Its the standard troll illistration on pg 187 the Iron Kingdoms' "Monstrernomicon." The troll illistrations are very impressive, and this one in paticular had good movement, so I thought it would look good in 3d. Sorry I don't have more pics, but I will once I finish the axe and cast it.
Also, I need help figuring out a way to suspend the finnished cast in the air?
Any suggestions?

Hey, welcome to CA! -Great anatomy so far-though it's pretty difficult to make out the details from your photo. The musculature on the foremost leg looks really nice, though the length from heel to knee is much longer on his left leg than his right. -the left thigh looks much shorter on his left as well, though this might just be perspective and the shadows fooling my eyes.
As far as the presentation, it'd be nice to see some better lighting with a clearly lit background so even if you have a lot of shadow on the piece itself, we're still able to make out the silhouette.
-as far as connecting it to the base, I'd axe the wire leading to his crotch unless you really need it to support the weight. You could always bring the feet down to directly connect with the base at the heel and toe, and maybe try to hide it with some base detailing. -or leave just the exposed wire at the feet, and hide it with some grass or rocks maybe?
-Anyway, good stuff, but give us some more angles and with better lighting!

Yeah, I don't plan on keeping the crotch rod lol. I'm new to all the photography and lighting stuff, so thats something I'll definitly work on for the updated pictures. I see what you mean about the legs, and I think the proportions are off because it came from a dramatic illistration, which also worped the legs in such a way, but I see what you mean. Thanks for the advice and info, its very much appreciated.
