Driven from their military installations, the resistance has had to convert commercial buildings to build maintain its forces in secret.

The large central plaza is ideal for staging troops before moving out to a battle.

In the year 2067, Walmart finally seceded from the UNA. Not one to take this lightly, the UNA forces staged an all out offensive against the Walmartian mother store, Walmartia 6. The forward base of operations for this offensive was located deep within the heart of Walmartia 6's 1000 acre parking lot.

This vast underground structure houses numerous rogue militant groups who were forced to share resources in order to defend themselves. The enormous lifting platform was hastily pieced together to handle the increasingly large machinery that are built to keep their enemies at bay.

A rebellion has occured outside the desert nation of Faluj, and allied rebels have overtaken the recently built space elevator; one of the four in the world and hold transports into and out of Faluj at gun point. Armed with basic munitions and some mechanised weapons platform, they await the inevitable airstrike from beyond the sky

for a lot of years the army has been using this cavy structure as a staging ground when attacking the leviathans cave. there is an invicible forceshield at the big opening where they can see attacks in good time, and the leviathans themselves are to big to enter though the small tunnels for boats and airships, and the small goons the soldiers are able to push back. at the moment the army is preparing to make a raid on the camp. the harbour for the boats are deeper in the staging ground.

its a little bit sad with so few entries but here you go, im going to try and organise some stars like cow entries, and make a winners thread later today, so people get the proper recognition.

Not many entries, but still some great ones. I voted for andrew. As always, really great technique, composition and colours :perv:. Bit too extreme with the wet ground maybe..

Sinix, you have an amazing style and the composition and mood of the piece is just right, but would have been better I think, with a little more going on, but then I do like the subtlety of it.

darkwolfb87, nice overall, but there are some problems with the rear of the structure where it curves around I think. Also it might be me, but its difficult to figure out what certain structures are. mainly on the far left and right. They look like walkways (left) and windows (on the right) to me.

Koshime, nice colour scheme, but maybe a little too sketchy. The mech/robot on the right makes the composition unbalanced i think. It really sticks out and the way its pointing draws my eye out of the frame. I liked your other entry a lot more.

Luxun, this seems unfinished to me, a good start, theres not much I can say about it, but you could have worked at it for a few more hours. Looks like there is a little perspective problem in the forground on the left, but it would have been good to see it finished.

I better get my act together and enter the next one.

Yet another for Andrew here... mainly from a purely visual standpoint. The clock tower is very cool. I think it could have used a larger military presence though.

The point in drawing goes to Andrew in this round. But the concept appears to easy to me.

I sympathised with the elevator platform by darkwolf (this was my first idea, when I pondered to participate...)
so my vote goes to darkwolfb87.

I voted AndrewLey . However the most original description was in my opinion Sinix ... too bad the art wasn't too supportive of the description (maybe ad some Walmart ads somewhere or something.. ? )

Voted for Andrew, that's some sick perspective, and I mean literally, gave me slight sensations of vertigo.

Props to sinix's and koshime's cool style. Heads up to luxun and wolf too!

I went for Sinix as I thought the military idea was important and the loose/crisp detail style thing really kicks arse for me. Walmartia, LOL, there is one about a mile from here (in the UK!......they really are taking over the world).

Koshime's composition just didn't work for me, I sort of wandered off left. Colour scheme and ambience was cool though.

Not many entries but good.
Andrew Leys is incredible, also liked the ones from Sinix and Koshime.
The other ones I think need more work, to better defined, better contrast and maybe some more colour.

nice reflections andrew, you got my vote, but i think the reflection for the building on the left side doesn't coincide with the other reflections. or is the building on the left tipping over to the right? anyways, nice painting!

I voted andrew as well.
I understand why you brought in those trees but I don't like the way you saturated them that deep. Same thing in your tavern in the trees entry. Image still reeds nicely tough.

Koshime : nice image but too unfinished, too bad. The lack of cast shadows is throwing me a bit off.

sinix- runner up and favorite concept. tho the lack of color made go for andrew =) great painting tho loose and fast. gw

kosh - that robot to the right seems a bit 'cut in' to me, im quite stupid tho, however i liked that palette knife sketch u made earlier better.. dunno why u dissed that one =) gw

I really struggled between Andrew and Sinix. I liked Andrew's overall work better, but it really didn't show enough of that military feel to it. Sinux was looser, but the story line, to funny, and the military presence gave me more of what this particular challenge was about.
