pretty nice drawing. is that watercolor youre using to paint it? the overall alien design is cool, but i would make the arm (with the gun) a little bigger/different. it doesnt quite look strong enough to hold a gun of that size well. now i want to see more.. .. .

yup, it's watercolor. thanks for the posts guys. as for the gun arms, they are supposed to be secondary appendages, so that is why they are so weak looking. however, since this is kind of an insect guy, i'm going to go ahead and say that he has a high weight to strength ratio, to manage the guns. Plus who doesn't like freakishly huge guns.

No way something would evolve into that. If nothing else, no thumbs to create the gun that replaces the hand...

about the gun...it's not supposed to be the actual hand; it's a symbiotic piece of technology that is artificially grafted/grown onto the arm. it is powered by the alien's metabolic energy, and when the alien is killed, the gun is useless.

I like the wispiness of the paint and line. It gives a good sense of movement. I like the colors a lot, especially the blue background. And nice little elements here and there, like his shoulder pads and jaw.

i like his head alot, but i think it would look better if the arm with the claw was bigger and meaner looking, it doesnt look like it would be too useful if it has a gun also
