Hey everyone!
Goin to NY tomorrow for 10 days, for among other things, attend the NAT. Port Day at Pratt next weekend. I am gonna bring everything I got basically, but is this a good idea? We are talking about 20 large (A2) works of variyng quality, finished gouache peices, longer nude sittings etc. hand done, and a A3 portfolio with the Grapic Desig stuff. and a SB.

Or should I just photograph them and print out A3 size?

Most of that stuff is school assignement work.

Do they wanna see more or less?

Anyone experienced?

Thanks Tim

I would suggest putting the best of the best stuff in your portfolio..

Thanks Bryan, hehe I know it may have sounded like a stupid question, but im kinda under the impression that NPD´s are "bring everything you got, and well tell you what you need to get in here". Of course if it was my PORTFOLIO portfolio Id not include almost any of it. Yet. Does that make any sense? Im thinkin Id rather have to much than not enough. I guess I just got travlin fever!

Thanks Tim

well, the schools you visit will love to see that you've got so much finished work. The sketchbook is a must, and alot of people dont think to bring theirs. The represenative from MECA told me that a sketchbook is one of the best ways to get to know somebody. I say, bring it all. Trust me, you'll get a real good reaction from the schools you visit. Dont bother with printing the pictures out, just bring the originals. Alot of schools will actually accept the review as the portfolio submission for their application, which saves alot of time and money (so you dont have to take slides of everything and mail it in). Good luck!

bring sketchbook definitely, I got the most comments out of that.

And make sure you can carry it all. I scratched my oil pastels :0

It gets crowded and the lines are long

A good time for a gameboy micro...
