a character sketch. i was hooked on the theme of masks n kabuki for a few days...

there are a few anatomical mistakes, i had to change the pose drastically and the colours for the pants were crap...i ran out of ideas for the background...etc etc...lol....i'm critcising my work before you guys do..though the whole piece didnt really turn out as i wanted it to...

ok, take it all constuctively please~
the ankle on the foot you can see, there is no ankle it looks like it just screws in. the left shoulder is too long, and the forearm is too long, or the upper arm is too short. the belt buckle? i think thats what it is, looks more like a pouch or a bag on the side. the rendering reminds me of nintendo style 8bit graphics. the face seems to small as well. over all great effort dont give up! one more thing, the lavender lines in the hair dont work, it might look nicer without them. when you put on a shirt, study how the wrinkles go, pick up a fashion magazine, you can learn alot about how clothes drapes on a body.
