I am planning on buying an LCD in the comming months.

It should have good color since I work in painter.
It needs to be at least 19in.
It needs a low response time for gaming.
It needs to be under $500 (around $300 if at all possible)
I would like for it to have a native resolution at or above 1280x1024.

I have read some reviews but I would like to have suggestions from you all, since there are many artists/gamers/techies in here.

$500 @ 19 inch seems like pretty tall order to me.

I'm not quite certain you'd get a clear display/good resolution if you stinge on price. I'm not too sure but I think for $500 you'd be able to own a brilliant 17 inch with most of the latest features....19 may cost more.

I'm likely to be wrong of course, since I'm not watching the market hence I dunno the exact price.

500 should be plenty I think. Not sure which model though, as I haven't been watching the market too. But you would want 8bitpanel for colour but you will have to sacrifice a little on the response time. 19 & 17 max resolution is 1280x1024.

Thanks for the info.

So I have to sacrifice response time for color?
