Little Red Riding Hood

I'm working on a painting of my take on Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf. I've posted before and received some great feedback and suggestions on my work. So I hope to get some crits or suggestions on this as I progress. I'm aiming for a realistic rendering in acrylics and oils.

This is a really wild interpretation! I like it!

I'm having trouble working out the relationship between 'Hood and the Canus lupus transvestitus. If they're a thing, I'd imagine he'd be engulfing her a bit more. If not, I have no idea what's going on.

Great start and feel. Little Red's head seems a little tall and the wolf's left forearm a little long but other than that this looks great.

nice start.
i would work on the form of the wolf's face more, especially toward the nose area and the glasses.
that whole are is really flat looking right now.

also, the wolf's right shoulder (viewers left) is too far forward and too low.
the way his torso is angled, the shoulder would be farther back and higher, and you would get more foreshortening. right now both shoulders look to be on the same plane.
the wolf's left shoulder, (viewer's right) looks a little too wide as well.
you may need to define what's going on with the hand on that same side too, as it's hard to tell if it's pulling at her cloak, or just in a fist being seen through a transparent cloak, (which would be wierd). =)
that fist should be more defined, showing where the fingers separate.

lastly, watch the girl's eyes, as one look a little higher than the other.

should be a nice piece when all finished.

lol, mind me. Looks interesting, nice concept is pretty much all i can say. Looks like everything else has been covered :shrug:

Thank you everyone for the kind words and crits, especially you mwillustration. You're dead on about the wolf's right arm and the way his torso is angled. I posed myself in the mirror and it was so easy to see. I want his shoulders to be bigger than his arms. The fist is going to be holding the cloak and will be almost completely covered. I just wanted to draw the fist so I could figure out how the folds in the cloth would fall.

I noticed the eyes too and that will be fixed along with the other problems people have mentioned.

Everyone should go out and google this story and read up on some of it's history and how it has been interpreted throughout the years. Many believe there is tons of hidden sexual suggestions throughout the story. The idea of Red as innocence, her climbing in bed with the wolf. The whole, "my, what big ??? you have" lines.
