It appears he asks advice on where to get buckshot to fend off kids shooting his pumpkins and goes off killing 2 people, wounding some others and goes back home and kills himself.

Not sure if this is 100% true, but the guys on the forum are obviously shitting their pants.

The kid told people his name in one of the posts prior to the murders. And he said he lived in Viejo.

thats IS insane. that is my hometown. good thing I don't live there anymore I live in NY where people like to stab other people. No shitting you I was in a K-mart the month I moved here, and in the front, by the costumer service desk a little girl got stabbed by an older man. It was very sad. :(
My dad used to be a forensic photographer/specialist in orange county. he would have probably worked on this case, good thing he is retired. This shit is sad guys seriously I have heard many stories.

You don't need to register for somethingawful to read their forums. The guy had Asperger's Syndrome (some sort of autism that makes you socially inept). And yes it's true. He posted on Somethingawful to find out about what kind of ammo (buckshot) to use in his shotgun and where to get it. In my opinion, wrong forum to post on if you're looking for sympathy and understanding.

Reminds me of the guy who kept coming here and threatening to kidnap a kid and commit a murder-suicide if he couldn't learn how to draw. He claimed to have Asperger's as well. It really shows you that you have to take threats like that seriously.

You do not have to take these threats seriously. It's no oenes responsibility but the persons own whether they do shit or not. If someone comes a-moping on the web and people don't give them the attention they crave, tough shit. You shouldn't have to cater to people because they threaten crap like that, it wouldn't be your fault if they even did it.

When I say take them seriously, I don't mean cave in to their foolish demands, I mean contact the authorities before they hurt someone. Of course it's not your fault if they do something, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try to prevent it.

Agree. I thought he was joking at first and was pretty hard on him. Then I figured he wasn't joking coz his posts were pretty consistent and I just shut the hell up.

But that's the internet. Its another tool, a double edged sword.
