I vote for Sinix Work - Just the best of all - so dynamic, so aggresive mode on, so dangerous and great design. I love it.

Basicaly the chinese took over, with a new ideology being a mix of science and religion, a sort of "neo-taoism", and changed flag when the real space age came . This bot is propeled by a yin/yang engine (matter/antimatter) , and is called "dark shark" because of the shape it takes while in translation

nacho

This thing can retract it's limps into the body for space travel...
as soon as it locks onto a target, it goes into rip-stuff-apart-mode and looks like pictured above.
Legs seem stupid for a bot in space, but this sucker has high powered electro magnets installed into his feet and can walk on the metal hulls of large battle ships, wander around on their surface and slowly tear them to pieces.
Also, he's kinda big.
Only 200 of these were built due to the high cost.. they are on duty since 278 years. Only two of them were destroyed... One got hit by a large asteroid, the other one went up in smoke, when it's pilot got high on illegal substances and maneuvered his mech into the earth's atmosphere. His last radio transmission was something about getting beer at the 7-11.
None of them was ever lost in one of the countless battles against the alien enemy.

there has only been produced 2 darkshark mecha due to its massive size and cost, the cockpit is at our left side of the front. they use the light producing thing art the front to lure the enemy close and then they obliterate it with the 4 claws.

Hideyoshi

The Chinese Darksharks having been produced in a limited series of 10 are known for their sheer berserk rage when it comes to melee combat. Equipped with a twin-blade sword and a "Xenotonium" alloy shield it is a hard rival on every battlefield.

In addition to the main propultion engine on the back, the Darkshark mobile armour has a series of small thrusters which give it agile flight performance in zero gravity. Its powerful fists are perfect for tearing apart armour and the primary systems of enemy ships. Once the unit has penetrated the enemy ship it is able to perform a combat role in a gravity environment.

Brood

The central arm acts similarly as our "jaws of life is used"to rip through heavy armor. The arm is equipped with a high density lazer which helps it tear through alien armor. When not in use,the arm collapses under, and behind the mech. The cockpit is located just above the central arm, when in its non-combative state.as war looms near the chinese space federation scrambles to complete and deploy all dark sharks for the inevitable battle.

That's a bloody shame evil sloth, it's a wicked concept.

Tough choice between Sinix and Brood, but Brood's concept is more original to me so I gave my vote to him, well done man. A few respected mentions also: Andrewly and
Hideyoshi.

I'm torn between voting for M@ or Andrewley. I love Andrew's cockpit, the whole design is very "practical"(if mechs were at all practical) and clean (in the stylish sense). M@'s is one of the most creative entries with the fantasy-scifi edge. Hmm... I'm gonna go with M@ this time, it's just an interesting idea.

Also glad to see sammy in there, always enjoy that.

Shooo, hard choices, such great stuff all around. I went with sammy in the end. Great design and I got more of a space vechicle feel with it. Being crablike kind of interferes with the name "DarkSharks" though doesn't it?

I voted for Sammy. covers a lot of ground and aspects. the design is cool, the presentation is done well.

my other favs were: Hide, for its complete layout,: M2, the rendering, style and design are cool: Brood, I loved the mood..

Sinux was good, but I felt it was a little unfinished compared to a lot of the other entries.

Gad, this is rought stuff. Totally impressed with everyone's (don't you get tired of hearing that?)

My top three are:
scumgrinder - that thing just looks scaryfreaky.
m@. - Brown trousers time.
Sinix - Sweet bajezus.

My vote ends up going to m@. It just looks awesome - but it was very tight between those three (incidently, Andrew's almost made it in the top three, but Sinix's was meaner). Still, very, very tough choice.

Very cool entires, but I had to go with m@. The design has an intimidating silhouette and I'd love to see it in combat. Bonus points for the description/backstory too. AndrewLey's was a close second for me.
