Hi, here are some SPs.
I hope you guys aren't irritated by so many of those damn "Hi, I'm new..." threads, 'cos this is another one of 'em.

These start appalling, improve slightly and become more expermiental.

Some are directly from a mirror (2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9).

Some are from photos of a mirror
(1,10,11,12,13)

The first ones I don't like.
The last four I did today. I did em all this year I'd say... Don't know why I'm telling you all this... Neatness I guess.

Love to hear your impressions. (Peferabley your negative impresions. I can't learn how to improve from compliments :) (Not that I am deserving of compliments anywhow.))

I really like the last one. You also did a good job in capturing the entire smile in the one with the huge lid. Sometimes that can be challenging. Nice work.

oh boy - i have about 100 pics i took myself in the mirror just like you, waiting to become SP's.
I'm into something else for the moment - it's great to find same crazyness around the planet :D
Apart from that - i love your style - very warm. I like the 8th best - don't know why :D

Excellent paintings Fred. I'm curious if you use Painter or Photoshop? I ask this, because they're are certain contributers to this board whose work has this unPhotoshop quality to it. I don't know if this is unfounded speculation on my part or if this is due to the use of a different tool such as Painter.

Thanks.

daniel: I use photoshop (7). Standard preset brushes. I have got painter classic ages old but I find it too compicated..

Thanks :)

Well, I guess that disposes of my theory. Again, spectactular work, I really like images 4-7. The subtle tonal variations and the stark flat color backgrounds work really well together. Great job!
