i almost got my tongue splitt for a free a year or so back.

my friend gives them, steve haworth. You can read more about tongue splitting on bmezine.com I've talked to many people who have gotten them, even Spidergod/Amago the Lizardman from Jim rose's circus. He was the first to make tongue splitting "well-known".

AND (i'm not really sure if i speak for everyone here, but) the way you post is slightly getting on my nerves. Try to think a bit before you post. Correct me if i'm wrong, but most of your posts add nothing to the thread/discussion that is/was going on. Try to make more sensible, rational (larger) posts with a bit of substance...instead of 2 lines on non-sense-making brabble.

i'm sorry if i'm wrong, either in my opinion or by pointing this out to you (i'm not a mod :) ) but i just think it needs to be said. It is destroying some of the fun i have browsing these great boards.

i just ignore people like KayCustomz now when it deals with body modification.

Homemade tongue splitting: What you do is a get a tonge piercing, let it heal for 3 weeks. gut the tip of your tongue so small that it is hardly visable. get some fishing line and put it through the piercing hole and the other side where the tongue cut is. tie it as tight as it's "comfortable" over the weeks your tongue will 'flex', causing it to cut into you more. over the weeks keep tying it tighter and tighter until it cuts all the way, tada... your done.

but, don't do that.. go to a specitist, it can be done in 1 day and with no pain :P

I remember him from a couple years back when a classmate and I did a report on body mod' for a cyberculture class. But for the life of me I could never remember his name. I would always refer to him as "You know, the lizard guy with the split tongue." Finally, I have a name to the face.

In eighth grade a classmate wrote his initials on his tongue with a razor blade. He was hoping it would scar and show indefinitely. I healed up without so much as a mark. He was sad. I don't know if he ever tried it again.

ugh lately people have been making fun of body modification right in my face.... you'd think people who were so unbias about art work would usually not be such fuckers about things like that.

i think i like the 1-day method MUCH more :p
I don't think i would be bothered much by someone with a split tongue...but i can't really speak since i never actually met someone with modifications...I would give him a strange "what's wrong with you anyway?"-kind of look.
But i also do that to people who like house-music :)
just kidding...


1 quick Q. Doesnt it affect you ability to taste food n such...as all the taste-stuff is in your tongue and so...?

it doesn't effect the way you talk or taste. basicly you are giving yourself a new organ, you can completely control each side of your tongue as they were each their own.

With this kind of heavy modification people don't allways understand what can push you to do this I think :)

Personally it's not in my taste to split my tongue or to have a piercing on my face, but hell, I love tatoo and I will probably have my piercing in no time too ... So I respect what everyone want to do with his body, but most people not it seem :)

Most people don't like too much what's different from them too... Such a pity I know :)

Davi my question is just curiousity, it's not an attack about this kind of modification :)

I'm fairly open minded about peoples attitudes to their own bodies, but it does freak me out a little. Having said that, I'm uncomfortable with facelifts and boob-jobs. I guess I'm just a little squeamish.

most of the times you can ask the person why they did that. usually it's because of the physical appearence; they think it looks good. sometimes things are "spiritual".
