I finally got my cash and im going to buy painter, which one do i want 8,9 or something else?

I know a lot of artists who still swear by painter 6.

So up to you, really. I use 9 and love it, but I honestly don't use any of the new tools...so I didnt need to upgrade from 8 really...but then again, i am set in my ways and have yet to really experiment. I will eventually. :)

9 includes a lot of the same features as 6, plus some new ones and is faster, so that is your best bet.

Trust me, you don't want 8 and there's no point in 7. Get the most current version of 9.x

I would wait a while, I have a feeling Painter X is going to come out soon.
