just what are you wishing to accomplish with this piece? whats its purpose? giving a little background information can often help with the critique process. i see your a fellow strongbadian fan ;)

haha yes, big fan.
alright, this is a piece im doing partly for a friend (its her dnd character) and partly to experiment and get better with PS, i hand drew it, scanned in the inked version and hope to give it a grundgy feeling if i can manage it.
I wanted to get the base colours in first, before i darken it a lot, but thats probably a bad approach, you tell me.

ok you may want to note that this chick has unfemanine facial features. check out the proportions of a female profile, the placement of each feature and then revise a little before you go any further.

The light source and highlighting/shading is inconsistent, with her horn thingys curving outwards toward the viewer. The shading behind the shield is particularly glaring in its inaccuracy...
Her leg anatomy is bad.

Either find a reference (yourself if need be) or use some construction methods and get some good measurements (make sure to look hard at necks, as this one is way too tapered).
My beef is that it's frickin' huge and I can't see it without scanning all around. 800x600 is usually a good size.
