I have seen several references that Laguna College of Art is an atelier., so I think it is important to clear some things up.
We are a regionally accredited, four year Bachelor of Fine Arts program. We have majors in Fine Arts (traditional, representative, figurative); Animation (Pixar recruiting here yesterday), Illustration, Graphic Design.
We also have hybrid majors: Illustration/ Graphic Design; Illustration/ Animation; Illustration/ Fine Arts. Again, our particular Fine Arts program is in the traditional and figurative arena.
It is also a mistake to assume most of our figure teachers are from the Animation industry. Most are not.
This forum provides some great insights to you all, but it is probably a good idea to balance your input with official answers as well, especially those of a factual basis and things about financial aid, where wrong assumptions can be very, very, VERY costly.
