Hello
I have wanted to join this board for a while. Ironically I planned a big introduction where I would create a post with content is a bit more unique/interesting than two images and a “hello”. But I am tired now so this will have to do:

Welcome to CA.org .
Please tell us a bit about the images & the ideas behind them ... or I just say .. hey the second one - half of the face is missing :)
Good start - good colours - interesting :)
More info please .
Just IMO :)
P.S.: You can still impress people with other works of yours & you can of course start a sketchbook or several .

Coffee is truly the drink of gods… I feel so refreshed.
Thank you for your nice welcome Poohgee. To answer your question I guess I have to add a bit of introduction: Usually when I start drawing I have a pondered thought/motif behind the image, however as I progress making the image new ideas slowly dawn upon me and thus the initial idea often gets blurred – and in the end the image can sometimes be left meaningless. [However I do like it when paintings have meaning/depth – besides a wow-factor you see when somebody makes their ninja #542 – so I obviously try to keep the meaning of a piece consistent when making art, and if the image does not really have a meaning I at least want the style to reflect something that I consider unique.]
Truthfully these two images are fairly simple though. The first image is called Bride Of Fury and here I played with different contrasts like: White Dress/Black Skin, Happy Day(Wedding day)/Lots of fire, Innocence/Violence etc.
The second is Mike The Business Monkey who is looking tired like always. The reason why half his head is missing is because I was not satisfied with half the face, so I removed it (I do like how it turned out though) – sorry if you were expecting a deeper meaning where the monkey had half his mind fragmented (Self Annihilation) or the image had some clever reference to Darwinism… It is just a tired orangutan in a suit :)
Oh and good idea about that sketchbook.
