i don't mean to sound negative, i saw the matrix at the theatre about 12 times. But i'm a little skeptical. Not only has history proven that sequels are a bi#$h to pull off, but there are some nicks in this one.

The story in the first one was one of the things that got me going. Now that that's out of the bag...i feel this will be a "chase" only movie (with a continuation of the same story).

Also, i read that the wach bros were annoyed with all these people copying their sfx techniques after the first movie came out. so they decided to spend sooooo much money on sfx that noone would be able to do the same thing....unless they're bill gates. I personally like to watch sfx "movies". but i would rather watch a "film" with good sfx.

i am also a little nervous of the ever impending "sequel comic releif". i don't know why, but this happens in sequels A LOT.
case in point: The Two Towers.

and last but not least, the albino dredlock dudes...look a little cheesy imo.

of course on a finer note: the chase scene looks amazing. trinity is hot. no matter what, this is the coolest "comic-like sci-fi action movie" creation imo. so i'll be there waiting in line on the first day just like the rest of you peeps. :p

What about ALIENS?

Or even Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo?

Some sequels are just as good as the originals.

break'n 2 electric b. yes. i actually agree w/that one too.

aliens 2 was a great movie (hell, i own it)....as good as the original?......nope.

and if anybody comes in here as says terminator 2 was better than the first terminator......we'll have to step outside.:p

I love the new trailer. Just damn amazing. The twins (dreadlock dudes) look freakin sick as hell.

I'll be there the first day wetting my pants off over this movie

I have faith in the wachowski's. They know what they're doing and know exactly what they want. Just hearing the way they talk about it and the way they work makes me feel confindent. I think that it's gonna kick serious ass. The dreadlock guys are cool, and when Neo blasts the agent smith's off his ass in bullet time is awesome.

That one shot where the agent smashes the car to pieces while it's driving.. looks very very corny and so very very CG.. looks like he's made of clay. :(

I'm confident that this movie will rock though.. I remember watching the first one on the big screen (I had no idea what it was about nor had I seen any trailer beforehand) and just being blown away visually.. Some shots sent chills down my spine, like that one in the dojo where Morpheus does this crane kung fu jump, floating through the air, time freezing.. And since the sequels are being done by the very same people who did the first one (Wachowski brothers, Yuen Woo Ping (!)).. it should be good. :evilbat:

Oh, and if you haven't seen the Animatrix shorts yet.. Do yourself a favor and go to http://www.intothematrix.com/ , grab the hi-res versions and dive in

This movie is going to be maaadd dope! Even my girl friend went out of her way to say how cool the trailer was in the theater. The W. brothers know their shite! We have nothing to worry about.

It's the first thing everyone notices.. I think the problem lies in the shoulder area not flinging in the front. It's a very subtle thing we so very often see in 3d animation. I started bitchin' about it here at work but was promptly told by the 3d animators that "yes maybe perhaps but it's still the best thing you can find in the industry as of today.". :)
His legs and the cloth on his pants was very beleivable tho.

Another pet peeve on the trailer : Digi-Neo's long coat lack of realistic wrinkle detail.
