I don't know... the first thing I heard in my mind when I read the topic was:

Maybe it's because I just finished reading Carpe Jugulum.

Anyway, I still suck at painting, but it's getting better (no pencil sketch used... pure OC brushes here).

Heres mine for today, its a magnetic resonance generator. Creates magnetic energy waves that causes solid things in its path to basically imploded from the amount of pressure exerted on the exterior of the object.

wow mtomczek, cool design and well done! drawn with pencil and colored it with watercolor?

All markers. start with a 10% grey then start defining form, after i go in and work out details with a black pigment liner, then move on to adding value with other markers, mostly 20% and 30% grey
