Just wondering aobut NYU.

I don't known why, because I haven't personally done any research- But there is this kid who hates the fact that I like RSAD so much (I LIVE right next to it- How can I not?), and he praises NYU like no other. I'm confused, because I've never heard anything here about it, when if it's so great, why I didn't. If someone wants enlighten me, please do!

As with anyplace else, the question is NYU for what? Their film school is famous, they have a pretty good masters program in digital media, but undergraduate art? Nothing.

Yeah. I just looked, and they have no traditional art (Undergrad) programs. I gotta talk to this kid to figure out what's up, cuz I'm freakin confused.

You can major in studio art (http://education.nyu.edu/depts/art/programs/23), but it's strictly a fine arts program (i.e. heavy on the theory, light on technique), and as far as I know one with very little reputation in the Art Scene. I expect it's probably mostly rich kids wasting their parent's money.
