I'm looking for information on how to take measurements for making clothing. Recently I've been looking into jedi cloaks but I'm going to make an alteration to it and create and interesting trenchcoat out of different types of fabric..

Basically i need to learn how to sew and take measurements for stuff.
I need weblinks because getting books isn't going to work since I'm broke. :^^;:

I would love to have tons of weblinks.. webpages you can offer me. Not about the jedi cloaks unless you've got a really, really detailed webpage. Perhaps a webpage about making trenchcoats with fabric.. I don't know how to search for this stuff on the web what so ever, so I need help.

Or else some idea how to make stuff like Ryuho's cloaks from S-CRY-ED :}

I'm not familiar with the cloak style you're looking for but hopefully some of these sites will help out. A friend suggested going to the fabric store and getting one of the patterns they have there; they seem to be relatively inexpensive and pretty easy to follow.
