It happens when I move the wacom fast. It seems like I get some kinda lags??
I have photoshop 6 and a wacom graphire 3.
Can't find any "smooth" in options either :(

if you have a slow computer that might contribute to the problem.

2Ghz, 512 RDRam and a GeForce Ti4600 :O
It doesn't lag in oC or any other program..

I'm not familiar with PS6 (at least not any more) but this looks like a smoothing problem. Not sure where your going to find the option you need to click though.

I'm not really sure about PS 6 but that should be a good enough computer to deal with it. In the preferences you should be able to set how much memory goes to PS as a percentage. Boost really high and just don't run any other programs. Also look for a spaceing option with the brush. That maybe a CS thing but setting it to like 10% if you can would help. You might want to find an old version upgrade to CS version 1.

Yeah. Perhaps I'll do something like that.
Feels like open canavas has is limitations, though it has a small learningcurve.
Thanks for your answers !

I have that problem sometimes with my Graphire. I updated to Photoshop CS and haven't had a problem since. Mostly I only have a thing where it doesn't think I picked up the stylus. Watch out for that one I guess.

A couple of quick things you could eliminate as reasons:
a) Check your tablet is plugged into a proper USB port and not a USB hub
b) Make sure you have the latest Wacom drivers installed for your tablet
c) Half a gig of RAM seems a bit on the tight side. Does it lag like this even when drawing on a relatively small document? Like 200 x 200 pixels?
