[ It doesn't have to be a formal portrait... It can be candid. ]

[ There should be some variety of age, of course. ]

[ Colour or monochrome is fine. ]

[ etcetera. ]

Nice work goran, but it's so dark! There are a lot of details that are barely (or not) visible at all!

I think what he meant was that because it is so dark overall it was hard to see the contrasts like on their.... chests.... do extra-terrestrials have chests? I had to crank up the brightness and contrast on my monitor at work a tad.

Nice job!

Frozen in time in more then one way, this is a picture of a frozen Gamoiran III "family." These aliens are a hive mind. The largest is the living breeder, able to create new members. Second largest is the "head," a central processing unit, although "Gams" can survive until a new head is created. The smaller members are various specialised workers, anything from food collectors, sensors or gene pools.
painter, 30? yeah, I'm on a lazy/tired streak.

There was something wrong with ConceptArt.org last night, and I was unable to get anything except a blank screen, so I'm just gonna let this topic ride the extra hours.

goran - nice one.

zeitwolf - i almost never look at cgtalk's dsg, so i was unaware of the duplication. However, the topic is only as boring as what you imagine.

charge - hehe... thought someone might take this angle :D .

dindon-Well,it was done in 35 minutes,no time for details,sorry.

I can see you've added a bit more since my post, but what I meant was that in your original post, the darkness obscured some of the work you did. (I lightened it a bit in photoshop to see the details better).
