Is this game similar to Microprose's X-com: UFO Defense? If it is, that would be awesome. X-com rocked, and nobody ever really made a good sequel to it.

Hey folks, just wanted to give a heads up that UFO: Aftershock will be in the stores October 21, and it looks like it's going to be one of the better tactical games this year..

It's a turn based, squad based, tactical game developed by Altar Interactive. The graphics are not exactly fantastic, but the gameplay promises lots of fun..

Don't know about you, but if the games as good as I think it is, I'll probably give up art for a month or two and play it full time. :)

Uh, why is your post above mine? Forums acting strange again... :dead:

It's similar to X-com.. it has aliens, it lets you do research, there's an rpg style system for your characters, there's lots of weapons. But it's definitly not an X-com copy with newer graphics, not that I would mind that at all. I loved X-com as a kid. Great game.
