Yup, Kanedaaaaaaaaa's bike ! You got good taste, for sure ! :tihi: I love the sketch, I find it very strong, energic. Only photoshop ? If yes, well done ! With the color one, I have a few crits, but it's just my personal opinion. The general render looks too "smooth" for me. With some more hardlines, you'll got a better result, I think (but it's just my opinion). The white reflects give your bike a toy's aspect. Yes, I know: You used the toy for ref, right ? But maybe it's time for "trick". Forget the toy bike, and give us some strrrong kaneda's bike ! Ya !
Cheers !

Hi,
the coloring isn't bad, though you should make a clear difference between highlights and reflected light (which is not quite obvious at the moment).
When you draw technical things in order to render them, you should try to use "clearer" lines, which means that when there is a straight line, you should really draw it straight and a circle should be a circle. Especially in vehicle design this makes it more believable. A concept is difficult to judge when the lines don't make perfectly sense. It always looks as if the machine, or parts of it, might not work properly.
But go on, it's a good start.

How fun! The colored version quite honestly surprised me. You should do your whole computer area like this, toys and all.
My only crit is the wheels look "cruder" than the rest of the rendering, but that is truly a minor nosh point. I think you did a really good job on the windshield and the decals.
NICE! http://smiley.onegreatguy.net/thumbup.gif

Man, that's the sexiest bike design i've ever layed eyes on. I'd so pimp that if i had that ride. <3
Anyways, try using a high opacity for the highlights, it'll give it more of that glossy, reflective effect. and don't blend it.oh, and brighter highlights as well.

Mono, you should watch Akira then (it's an anime movie) it'll get you all hot and bothered (this is the main characters bike, and it is damned cool).
Anyways, awesome subject matter, and really good execution i'd say. It's been mentioned that the wheels look abit rough, but that's cool. Trying to think how i'd try to paint perfectly even circles and I can't blame ya ;) Mainly i'm glad the bike didn't get "bent" as you painted it....nice, maybe try different angles now?

Alday J.: Thanks for pointing out that hard line problem. I went ahead and adressed it with a bit of sharpening. It definitely looks better now! As for the next pic..Ill make some real fanart with REALLL kaneda bike action =D
Yodaah: Youve got some great points. Im currently addressing those highlisghts. As for lineart..I find it a bit hard to keep everything perfect and clean, but ill try to refine it more in future images.
Madster: Thanks for the comments. Those wheels sure gave me an interesting time. Ill clean them up even more in the next update
Mono: Thanks. I wasnt sure whether to do very bright highlights. I somewhat felt the need to blend them due to the fact they stood out a bit too much. Ill test with making them sharper again.
Shatterdome: Thanks for feeling a bit of my pain in regards to making perfectly circular objects freehand(lol).
Liquidspider: Thank you for the feedback. =)
Update: Background test, messing around with brushes. Sharpened the image a bit.
