Yeah, it does look a bit flat. This needs some more depth somehow.

I like the concept...
Maybe a little more detail on the knight would help... the shield doesn't look finished. The ear on the giant also looks a little flat. But other than that i really like it...keep it up.
Looks like the knight has quite a mouth full with that opponent though :D "Lots'o luck mr. knight!"

thanks guys for all the imput guys the background does suck , and i wish the ear wasbreaking the plane of the back of the head just so it would read better. right now it is flat .
