Nice pic so far, try to cut off about half a cm from the bottom, tighten the space a little to make it feel more clausterphobic. The rim lighting happening on the right guys backpack seems too strong. Also, that crystal seems to be eminating an excessively strong but pickey light, that chooses to fall only where it wants. It falls on the faces of both of the guys but it seems to totally steer clear of the back of the guys knapsack whose holding it, specifically the right side, where I'm pretty sure it's not obstructed to reach.
Keep it coming, it's a nice piece so far.

Your overall values are too dark in this piece, resulting in a gross loss of detail and definition. Except for the brightest highlights, and the nearby surrounding areas, this piece is a very dark, ill defined blob of darkenss...
The histogram for this piece shows an almost 50% loss of values...
The trick for a piece like this is to adjust your gamma so that the viewer can fully see and appreciate the definition and details.

wow nice work. I like the image but like madster said there isn't enough detail in it. I don't have a problem with the darkness but try and plan it more carefully. If the guy with red hair would get just a bit more light from the gem thing they found it would help it a lot. I would really like to see his face. now looking at it the same guy seems to have a few anatomy issues that can't be covered by the hard light. his hands look too small when they are compared with the size of his head and the other figure in the illustration.
Good work keep it up.
