Oh geeze, I have to either get my head out of the gutter, or familiarize myself with art terminology.

lol

maybe they gave me the wrong name for it lol, and I have been asking folks about something else, Im talking about the process where they stretch a digital painting on a canvas, so it looks more traditional, I saw a photo done this way in a hotel, and it looked all right,

but now Im curiouse to hear what you were going to say anyhow! :)

wasn't there some really kitschy site that printed photoshop filtered photos of puppies on canvas? i can't remember the link, but i think i remember a few really cheap and stupid companies jacking up the prices by charging to print on canvas.

Wet mounting and dry mounting are both photography terms. In wet mounting, the print is glued to a surface while it is still damp, and dries flat and tight. In dry mounting, the print is mounted on a backing using a heat-set glue or tissue and a special press.

Obviously, ink jet prints can't be wet mounted, because the ink isn't waterproof.

For a second I thought you were doing Chinese traditional watercolor. Those are usually wet mounted onto a scroll.

As for printing on canvas, a lot of print company does that, like kinko or office max. It just charges a lot of money.

How about doing the latter while remaining, joyfully splashing about, in the former. :teeth:
