But I almost like it.

Damn SimoSk8 I think I'm in love with that bear. Awesome. Here's mine:

Spare: The Spear-Bear!
Not too original I think...Oh and those guns are lifted straight from Earthworm Jim...let's call it a reference!
Great use of colour in everyone's work so far I think.

Are you more inspired by "CYBER-BEAR, BEDECKED IN SKULL-GUN ARMOUR CRASHES THROUGH ENEMY-ALIEN FESTIVAL CAKE, BLOWING GUTS OUT OF DARK BUNNY OVERLORD"?
I was tired last night. I'll make sure number 1,000 has more thought put into it.

Dindon Ha! That's fantastic! I can't believe you fit it all in - very nice work. I love that bear :)

Since I love getting comments....high time I start giving them too.
So.....blah_blah/on :blahblah:
Fal$eProfit, That is alot of yellow. It would pop more if the BG was a different color. The Paw pads are very cute.
Jakub Sudra, My inner-gay man is shamed. :bashful: I never thought of a nice fuzzy human "bear" Way to be different!
Hamsta, Very cool! It looks like a movie poster. Sort of looks like the bear has a feed bag on his nose tho.
SimoSK8. So cute. It's Disney worthy. A space bear in a twinky suit.
flcl, The smoking ear is just a great touch.
goran, The black and white picture is astounding! It looks like a sci-fi book cover. The green one gives a very haunting....'lost' sort of feel. How much time do you spend doing this stuff?
Blue_Tiger, Just great. I am in awe of your linework. So clean.
dischord, This was one of my faverites today. Except the pointed ears make it seem more Cat then Bear.
Amerasu, It's the bear-geek! Fear the bear that can do computing on his belt buckle.
Mdforehand, Nice fur texture and shading.
JonathanEdwards, Awww....i feel so bad for the poor thing. I just want to hug him. Nice work at bringing a story to life in one picture.
brainofj, Nice work! The colors are great and the star effect is very neat!
llothcatl, The white face, hollow eyes and slack/limp armed pose make him look like the zombie bear from outer space.
dindon, Wow....um.... wow. :$ This picture is sort of a visual drug trip.
csteingart. He does have a gopher quality...but he is a nicely buff gopher. I like the water color look the shading has.
:cheerleader: artdwx, That is one mean looking bear! Nice clean linework. Solid pose. You are my cheer winner for today!

Ok, so its not nearly done (didn't even get to the second pencil line layer) but I'm really digging this bear. I figured, however, that at 12:45 its probably time to call it quits on yesterday's topic, so this I will finish as a fully developed....something....

Eh, people don't mind if you're a bit late.
Looks great so far though.
I think all of the submissions today were great. Nice job everyone.
And thanks DarkArtist... Blame William b. Hand for the idea! :D

DarkArtist Yeah, I realize the painter elements don't mesh in very well
your work is quite amusing with the silly helmet on the raging bear, but it suffers alot in the technical department - the bear has some issues with anatomy, mostly his feet and arms (head is nice though) the suit dosen't seem quite right, I think some color sharing would help in that department. It could also benefit from some more "grounding" and a bg.

DarkArtist-Thank you. The first illustration was done in 20 minutes, I found the picture from Matrix the movie and used that as texture for Deco brush in Z-Brush, the rest was
done really fast, later some finishing touches in Photoshop, helmet and accent on space suit, then I realized that I didn’t read whole assignment text, especially the game part
and after few bears sorry beers I did the other one in 25 minutes, if you look closely
There is not much detail on it just overall look, I am still learning that. It was done in
Open Canvas.

dindon - It's cool that you limited colours and I like the action from yours picture.
I think that you could draw bear deeper in the back. He is now as distinct as things from the 1st plan and it flatten your image
