hey Zaki - dont mean to be an ass here but...
wheres the "conceptual" part?
Are you gonna add something in this landscape? Or is it just that?

very nice, although I sort of dislike the "cartoon style" of the contour of the mountains. a little like the stuff samwise didier does for wc3. but i like it.

Kinda reminds me of martian landscape at night.. not that I've ever been to mars at night.. my daytime excursions are quite enough.. thank you very muchly.

what i meant to say was that the very landscape is conceptual, meaning the mountains, sky, colors, shapes and so on.
Is the title a misfit? let me know it will help me with the project im doing.
thanks people.

I think, for what you have there, it took too long.
I also think it doesn't belong in FF.

fair enough I guess...
-I can see the greens but it needs a lot more color; even if its meant to be a martian-like lanscape.
-The light source is very pasty. Is the source in the midground or the BG?
The sky indicates its in the BG but it looks like its coming from midground..or
is to from both? Its ambiguous
-The perspective looks off..compare the FG vs BG
-Some detail might help

I tried making the light source almost as if its coming from the base of those mountains, and its a large light source, so maybe that's whats making it ambiguous. do you suggest making it smaller, and maybe just in the very bg?
Can you please explain how the perspective is off, i know i always make this mistake, but i cant seem to spot it.

and yes it did take me too long, its because im not that experienced in digital painting..or painting for that matter.

thanks for the pointers.

Light: Maybe you might want to tone down the part thats overlapping the mountain or move it behind altogether...
As far as the perspective: It looks as if were looking down on the FG plane (the Vanishing point would higher on the page) and were at eye level at the BG (with the VPs lower...)
again, I know its a landscape and you have more room to cheat perspective vs a building or something ...but it looks off. Anybody agree or disagree?

but I have to agree with Elwell that at this point, it doens't belong in FF

i see what you are saying, but i wasnt trying to make them follow one line, that is why all this confusion happens in my paintings.
I intended for the foreground to be flat and kinding slanting downwards, towards the viewer, and the mountains in the back to be rising above the line of the foreground, to make them look taller. but somehow whenever i change these heights around the perspective issue comes up, i know there has to be some missing link here.

Still needs more. There's just generally nothing. It's nice, the landscape, but it's....empty

well here is a little background info about the pic, i am doing a concentration portfolio/series for my school art ap class. and i am painting 18x24 acrylic paintings of "conceptual landscapes" and my theme was basically to show landscapes without any unnatural disturbances, meaning no human life. and this was just a painting drawn from that concentration, it is not part of it. So should i add things like trees, foliage, and more detailed rocks? i think ill try that.
