These three are my favs; that last one's wicked. There's loads of energy in these pictures. I think the tonality and palette choice could do with some refinement in your colour work, but keep 'em comin', I'm hooked! :)

Your work is overflowing with style! Awesome work, I really like it. Did you learn to draw by drawing cartoony characters or is that a style you chose after learning traditional figure art?

the high contrast b/w pics are sweet. right now it's just there isn't enough range of values in your color pieces.

EmmDoubleEw: Thanx! yeah I actually learned to draw by drawing cartoony characters when I was a kid, when I got older I became interested in manga and started to draw in a kinda manga style which I pretty much turned into my own style now but I think people can still see manga influences in my work cause I get that alot from people who watch my work.
I did learn traditional art and life drawing later on tho.

Just watched the original 'Dark Water'. I can't say I liked it that much, it wasn't nearly as scary as Ju-On and Ringu, but it somehow inspired me to draw this.
Dunno yet if I turn it into a finished illustration but I'll atleast get started on it and see if it's worth finishing.
Anywho, I thought it might be cool to post the sketch that I will use as a guide layer.

Hi peeps! haven't been around much lately (not that I'm a regular poster on these boards, but I'm trying to change that :confident ).
Anywho, from now on I will try to update my skecthbook regularly, atleast on a weekly bases.

@Recursive_End: thanks man! yeah you're right it looks kinda shitty right now doesn't it hehe, but these are some quickies so it doesn't matter that much. But yeah hair isn't my strongest point when sketching I think.

@Mr-Joe: thanks :) I forgot to mention but I think it's pretty obvious, the girl with the cig (and those other nudes) are life studies using photo ref so I didn't actually drew (?) them from my imagination, just to clear that up ;)
I've been into graffiti for a long time and when I was in the first year of college some guys were active graffiti artists so I started to hang out with them a lot. Unfortunately I lost track of most of these guys soon after (dropping out, switching schools blabla) and I didn't really practice graff anymore so I still kinda suck using actual cans.
I learned to draw the graff style letters by sort of copying it from pics in graffiti magazines, after a while I got the hang of it but my buddies told me to stick with characters cause my writing really sucked LOL.
I will try and dig up some of my old blackbooks.

@White Rose: hey there Lute (it's you right?) thanx a lot :) I have some ideas flowing so yeah, and I will participate in and finish the next cgtalk challenge damnit! :P

Mr-Joe: thanks dude :) uhm graff mags, well it's a few years ago since I last bought some mags and I'm not really sure if they sell worldwide but I used to read mags like 'Backspin', 'Stylefile', 'Bomber magazine', 'Graphitism' and such.
Here's a good graffiti book recomendation: Graffiti World (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0500511705/sr=8-7/qid=1155387134/ref=pd_bbs_7/104-7141108-8763900?ie=UTF8), awesome graffiti art from 5 different continents.

You have a lot of different things going on here. I think you could maybe improve your draftsmanship some more though, so I'd recommend copying stuff.

Hey Rudeone, It's been a long time since I saw your sketchbook, I'm sorry man, I must have forgot all about it, well I saw a post by you while browsing and jumped into your sketch book and look at that you posted your grafitti for me! That stuff is freekin awesome man! Thanks for the link to the book, I went to the book store searching for grafitti books a while back and I think I saw that one, I will probly have to pick it up soon, I like the grafitti style and I'd like to get better at it, but I don't wanna go do it on walls, I wanna incorperate it with my art, I've been doing stuff latley I call "graffiti and girls" Yeah I know lame name I need something more catchy, but thats basically what it is, graffiti and girls.
Anyways about your graffiti, looks real good, the letters are solid, the style is great, I like the arrows and I like how you did some little zig zag stuff and not just arrows, I notices thats probly one of the most popular things people do is use arrows at the end of their letters. Also looks like you used markers right? Well thanks alot for posting that, If you got any more Id like to see it I'm gonna subscribe to your thread so I don't forget to come back and look. Great stuff here.

You do the human figure real well, the photo ref stuff is real great.
Did you go to school for art? Did you do alot of figure drawing or just mostly photo refs?
Alright I think thats enough questions for one post.
