nice colours.. builds up the atmosphere.. The sky in the bg doesn't seem to work with the sunlight, as in perhaps it should be lighter on the left side or sum sumthin.. Quite nice tho

This took about twenty minutes to sketch out. Initially I was going to have the little creatures be things he had on the plane (like some fruit and a teddy bear)...somehow they ended up like this.

Newbie here, I've been lurking for a while and doing the sketches but haven't had the courage to post anything. But I figure that if I want to improve I have to start posting, right? :)
Sketched in ps7, time aprox 30 min, trying to get used to the wacom :er:

Long time no post! This was about 1.5 hrs in PS, photo ref for little girl. Little dudes turned out more like little aliens than little magical creatures. Not real happy with it, but I rushed it so I can't complain.

Timmy has discovered a long eared rubadub, a magical creature which enjoys hitchhiking on aircraft, and can only be seen by children.

These creatures have never been captured on camera or seen by more then 1 people at a time. Very, very few times reports of dull, half invisible creatures come up but the goverment declares it to be thin air playing tricks on peoples mind. They know of these creatures but keep it a secret until they know more about them and also for fear of people not daring to travel by air with these 'flying mouths' as they're often called.
These mystical creatures are almost invisible. It is unknown how they manage too keep in the sky for such a long time without any visual bodyparts or techniques to keep them surfing the sky. They feed on birds.

Hey everyone,
This is my first post. Be gentle :) Infact please critique. I used to read DSG somewhat frequently and now that I have my wacom, I've been here daily.

demdike - cool, I see that a lot of new people appeared here. I,m also quite new (joined near 3 weeks ago).
In your picture I like colors, nice atmosphere and the most poses of both characters (natural and dynamic).
tanja - yeah, you are right, good for you that you started.
I have the similar situation :bashful: and because of lack of courage post only sketches that I was doing a lot of time
but dammit I will post soon some of my rough, poor sketches too
:confident like that idea
to newbies ;) - I think that we will learn here a lot, good luck
