Well.. you are all 'concept artists' help me out here...

My friends convinced me to resurrect my old website. Well, they liked having a unique forum for the 5 of us to just blabber on. So i recently got paid for some work, and figured, what the heck, why not just do just that?

So i did.. i secured my url for like an eternity, and paid for a full year upfront of server time. I almost finished prepping the forum and then something hit me...

Aside for the fact i spent like 100 bucks to accomodate my online buddies..


Now that i have this domain, and the space, what the hell do i DO with it? You know, what else, aside from the forum. What would be a good use of this space?

My only thought is this; I have been writing a fantasy novel for a few years on and off, and thought it might be fun to dedicate the space to. But.. how? :dad:

Hmmm...now lemesee...You're an artist, presumably with work hanging around that you want other people to see. And now you have this domain and hosting space and you don't know what to do with it. Well how about...AN ONLINE PORTFOLIO!

Think it's too big a leap?

How about an online gallery AND a corner of the site for your novel, AND a place for your buds, and the photos you have, and your favorite recipies, and a blog, and...

and... you could sell ads and what not to help pay for the place - or at least earn back some of the cash you dumped into it.

Sorry, Lord Blue. My reply seemed a bit TOO sarcastic. It wasn't meant that way. I've been on the road for 8 hours in the last day and I pop in here with a sore ass and no sleep and see a post by someone involved in one of the most creative fields in the world...

...asking what to do with a website. It just struck me as very ...strange...I think the word would be... :)

Magic Man: I kind of like the idea of a blog. Maybe a daily sketchbook/journal would be a cool use for it? I think i'll get started on the design, should be interesting. :bashful:
