Nice work man. The only thing I'd try to work on is making more contrast... building on your lights and darks. Also, try and not leave the background white, working on filling the whole peice. One way to accomplish both of these tasks is to make a mid tone prior to doing the drawing. So I would invest in an Ebony pencil or a Woodless graphic pencil... those both are easy to work with. So I would fill in the page or even just the objects with a midtone grey. Once you do this, put in the darkest darks with you pencil, and use a good eraser to pull out the highlights.
You have a good hand and eye for this, so if you utilize what I've told you, you can make it an amazing strength. Also I'd work on composition... put a frame around the things you draw... just a lightly drawn frame... and try to see how you can make the picture look more interesting than it is.
Goodluck and good job

Thank you. I'll try it. In the last picture I did this as a practice. Filling the area with a gray, then drawing the darker stuff and using an eraser for the highlights. I even thought of using some colored paper and white chalk... I will post what happens when I try it.

Barnabas is right, try to put in more contrast, otherwise nice studies!

Nold, try to apply a dark background (maybe even black) and the flowers will pop out beautifully (maybe try different colors digitally first).
Good job (also on the life drawings - my course will start on 6th May - looking forward to it!!!)

I did not have a lot of time last month, but now I scanned the crueltys I have done to my sketchbook in the last weeks.
I will post each one alone to keep the pages of the thread small. 36 pictures in one post would be mean for all users without super-fast connection.
Here are some random objects.

And the last three. As you can see, visited El Coros sketchbook that day and decided to torture my sketchbook with marker inks. I have only some grays, because I did not have enoug money for more than 5 markers when I bought them a year ago, and I think this is not really enough for a colored picture, so I decided to stay with gray first..
However, its a lot of fun.

Thanks. I don't use a special kind of sketchbook. I didn't even know what brand it is until I looked it up for you. The brand Art Select and the sketchbook is named flexi.
I did not care for the brand when I bought it, I just looked for a robust sketchbook with spiral bindind that is not too expensive. I'm still looking for a sketchbook whith nice brown paper, but I this is somehow not so easy here.

Haven't seen my sketchbook for too long. I've got trapped in a pit of lazyness, but finally I got my ass up again.
Here's the drawing of a street nearby for the start. This was quite tricky because the lines of the street definately had to go upward while the street goes downwards. Irritating....

top notch work man...........
The lifedrawings are also great but i think the portrait based on Ron's tuts is a bit asymetric, i mean his left side of the mouth is under his right nostrill. And his left eye doesn't go tru the curvature of a sphere.
it's just criticism but i think all you stuff is great and focus on what really care...lifedrawings.
As ron lemmen saids: look more draw less..
Keep it up man..........

Chudds, thank you. I practiced some portrait stuff the last weeks, I have some big problems with faces. ( and hands and feet, these will be things I concentrate on after the faces).
