Hi. Sapphire told me that you guys have a voulenteer recruiting section, and that's good, because I am unable to pay anyone.

I have a little Oddworld fan-comic going that needs a colorist. I don't want to color it myself, I'm still not sure of my skills. Besides, I'm drawing it, inking it, and writing it, so I could use all the help I could get.

I have five pages inked already, at the bottom of this thread; a preview followed by the actual one I want colored in a link.

I can't add the narritive and dialogue until I have the page, so I need them done at the pace of maybe 1 per week-and-a-half or so, or sooner.

Speaking of narritives and dialogue, I need someone who can maybe spice up my own writing a bit. This job isn't as urgent, as I already have two editors. One more couldn't hurt, though.

Here is my work. The art isn't that great, but it will get better. I'm working on putting less definition in the muscles on my figures (they look like steroid-induced monsters).

The scene should be heavily rainy and cold-looking. The water is a dark blue, and the canyon is a red-tan color with white horizontal stripes running down it. The statue is very mossy and colored gray. There should be a gradual increase in the detail of the moss as we get closer to it. The third panel shows a crack in the door. This should have a light eminating out of it, and should be VERY VERY bright (like, "draws attention" bright).

Here we see the city of Nocturnia in all of it's... cave-iness. The whole place should have a blue tint to it, to signify how dark it is. The cave itself is the same color as the mountains outside, but with a much smoother look to them (use actual cave photos if you need a refrence). The "burrows" should shine a turquoise color (they're lit by insects similar to fireflies that glow that color), and should be the main light source in the cave. The stream on the cave floor is almost the same color, but with more green than blue. This is another light source. The water should also sparkle as if it were illuminated by phosphorus.

This is the color scheme for the female Noctero (big wings). (http://photobucket.com/albums/v14/dipstikk/?action=view&current=Actracolor.jpg) The male Noctero (small wings) are a brighter brown and have a white underbelly, but the same shade of black. The female in the forground has a "coconut top," which is green with yellow spots and brown straps (vines).

The wooden platforms are dark brown and look time-worn. The bone-support beam-thing at the top left is white-yellow.

ANd I don't think I have to tell you, but things past the dropoff are darker than things in the foreground.

*Note: See, this is what I was talking about. The male in the foreground is waaay to bulky. I am working on less muscle-tone.

That's it, I want you guys to play with that for about a week and show me your stuff.

I know that I am not, currently, the greatest artist in town, but I'm working on my craft all the time, and will be improving with each page.

Thanks, and I hope to hear from people soon.

*Note: Yes, I know they look like bats. Yes, I realize that they're not the most inspired design ever. But dammit, I've been procrastinating for five years, and I want to start this sometime before I die.
