Dude, your rendering skills are UNBELIEVABLE. I took a look at your website, and my only complaint is how small the galleries are! We want more! I can't wait to see more of your work.

You're using Photoshop for the digital work, right? I would love to learn about what techniques you use for the rendering.

Those are some impressive sketches. I would consider most of them finished artwork if they were mine (note to self: most check your finished artwork).

You have a great ability to render animals with personality. The elephant statue image is very impressive and CUTE.

Thanks for all your comments.

The elephant was a good exercise....here it is a quick one 30 mn... in Phothoshop CS like the rest.... without reference.

http://www.jf-muro.com//PORTFOLIO/small/STUDY_FROG.jpg

I am going to try not to do too much finish stuff..It ends up boring...

I should try more....quick things....even if they are not correct..LIKE THIS SHITY ONE..... :bashful: . :bashful: . :bashful: ....to exercise my shapes...... :bashful:
And ideas from my head...

I still think I have to do more studies..I am not happy how my drawings turn up yet, I dont have control yet, and jump to quick in detail...and not concentrating overall and composition wise. :^^;:

That somebody with such remarkable skills as you doesn't has a job (at present),
scares me. Is competition in the industry that tough nowadays?
Please, somebody give him a job. For gods sake.
Or else I'm gonna have to go on demonstration against the injustice of the world. :yayca: :yayca:

some really impressive stuff here friend

I agree with you about finishing with detail this is boring sometimes but working to finish with fine detail can improve your skills and veryoften can be quite rewarding in itself.

You have what counts will come back often

All of your stuff so far has been very talented. That turtle blew me out of the water though, I loved how the colors remained creamy and smooth yet you got a great deal of realism out of it.

April 5th, 2006, 07:58 AM
hehe... you are like and extension of finalrender :D that tortoise is mad.

One thing I think that woulds help a lot with your pictures...or at least the people drawings... try to show the difference between the shadows of the form and the cast shadows... one is cradual and soft, the other has hard edges (cast shadows have hard edges) Your edged are all pretty soft.

I love the personality you get in your charracters. I need to work on that! MORE!!! hehe. saturday. We can draw all day :)

TIO_MATT
