Ehhhh whats up Doc?

I absolutely cannot believe you clicked it... O.K maybe I can; something I would have done.
I just wanted to say Hi to everyone after lurking on here for quite some time. I actually had a sketchbook on here way back when but did not get to really know anyone. So, I thought to start up another sketchbook but photobucket won't upload my pictures; my other image host is too slow; and I can't afford a good one. Any suggestions? >:|
I generaly have been pursuing a better education in art for about a year. Before that I just drawed for the fun of it. Heck, I still do, only now it's a case of study, study, study, draw, repeat, ect. ad nausium.
My main foray is characters (I love the larp and rpg idea) and costume design. Is there anyone else on here who is a fan of Ian McCaig and Dermot Power?
And if anyone wants to know about a really great clothed figure drawing book, look up Barbara Bradley, she is an excellent, true to life figure drawer!!!
Here is a link to a great art supply website: www.aswexpress.com
What to write? Arggghhhh Why in the bloody did I get writers block doing a post?
I mean, come on, ya'll aren't interested in my life!!! heck, it would bore me to read about it. But I can say one thing, I love art. And if there are any people on here who think the characters they draw are practicaly real people, and like to relate to them I for one would like to meet em'.
Quite recently I have ventured into the wonderful world of varied media, watercolor, acrylic, inks, ect. and am going to work hard at improving. I hope to someday be able to post some of my stuff so you all can meet my characters (I like to write backgrounds and stories about them) and maybe there are some artists on here who can help me out. Until then,

I also love Lord of the Rings (Books and Movies)

Till another post,

OMG that is a stupid sounding post but I am not rewriting, too late. :dead:

To tell the truth, I was hoping someone would give in to that inestimable compellation to do something someone tells them not to. *chortle* (The person pauses in contempation, what to write next?)
Thanks for the welcome and I hope to become a part of this community.

(Who has the most fun here? Guys or gals? And what percentage of guys are there to girls?)

I know its a strange question.

hey welcome!

I would have to say 90% guys and 10% girls. but I don't actually know for sure. And it seems that everyone has fun here. Most people don't know what sex you are untill maybe they get a glimps of your name, but I think it would be safe to say most people think everyone are dudes. I have had many people think I was a guy. Maybe I should start posted flowers and ponies so they don't get confused ;)

Barabar Bradley was one of my teachers. That IS a really good book, good eye :)

Thanks for the welcome poise; I kinda figured there were more guys. Well, luckily I'm a girl, so maybe we'll eventually get the upper hand. lol
The first thing that got me started on real art was a Star Wars: Attack of the Clones concept art book that had many costume designs by Ian McCaig and Power; and since I was already into costumes I practicaly wept with joy at getting it. Me and my brother had decided to make a sci-fi movie back when I was thirteen (Hah) which is why I began designing clothes which led to character design.... Which is when I relized
I couldn't draw...several years later....Barbara Bradley.
So what is your special subject(s) (if any)?
You know, steriotypes are kind of funny; girls don't always post flowers and ponies so why does it seem like a whole of the guys are doing monsters? *chuckle*

*laughs quietly*

No it's more 95% "guys" :P There's a few people that everyone thinks are a guy E.g badger. So i'd say there are a lot more girls on here than people actually think.
