I think this is a sure sign that the French will be a big animation force in the future.
the caveman one's also great (2002 I think)
I think they have really small graduating classes, like 25 animators a year.
the way they work is something like 5 people to a team, who have to work on a 30 second film for their animation festival (which is what these are)
so 5 teams of 5 per year

No way! "Tripletts of Belleville" was very nice but it was far away from beating Nemo, one of the best animation movies ever...

Tripllets aside - I thought nemo was the weakest of the pixar films...
so I thought there might actually be a chance for triplets to win, but that was wishful thinking...
see - there are images from triplets that I will never forget...
All I remember from Nemo is a bunch of fish swimming around

you know, I I like Pixar, but I liked the Toy Story the least.
Triplets I've seen, yeah. I'd say it's just 'different' from Nemo. I think even though Finding Nemo is a more 'mainstream' kinda film, it was a really well done mainstream one.

Les Triplettes had huge potential but some bad apples in the team...
As for the gobelins, that school is (was?) EXTREMELY hard to get in. A few of my friends are graduates from there and their selection process is (again was ?) solid. You *have* to know your art history as well as be a really good artist to be accepted. Down side is that some of their students get a huge ego just before graduating because they know they're in one of the best school ;)
Cool link too ehhe !
