Hi. Word up.
I am from San Jose State University but I have been mobilized by the Army and I am stuck in Fort Bliss, Texas. I hope to be motivated to draw here during my downtime so I started this sketchbook. Enjoy.
Some sketches are from 3 months ago since I have been slacking on drawing.

This took me about 3.5 hours. It was fun while it lasted.

This was done in about 2.5 hours. I call it, "A Night with Steve Hui."
Alright, the end. Crit me hard.

Yo dog,
Didn't know you were posting on here. I like the big teeth guy. Cool street style.
Was Steve all sore from the night of vigorous painting? That sketch could use some work. I'm not feeling the transparent glass or bottle.
Hope all is well in Texas. Later

waadddup?!!
hahah i recognize that handwritting.
so you finnally decided to join the bandwagon eh? bout time...good to see you posting some shit...
i like the first one with all the heads done in marker
for some of the figure drawings. watch out for your placement of hatch marks, make sure they are used carefully, they can be too distracting and all over the place which takes away from the figure. ......remember less is more :)
color wise, they look alright, but i would say you can push your colors more...
and a night with steve hui...whats this all about huh? :D i have no clue what that orange thing is on the right. a candle? keep working on this piece.
keep postin'
*hows texas btw?

good stuff here!
nice couple of posts!
i like the guesture drawing! nice form and perspective! i gotta try that next time!
i did a digital painting of a still life! yours looks good PS right? well if you wanna crit here it is: first of all the table left of the bottle totally differs from the other end... the rotting fruit looks flat maybe becuase of that grey whatever under it and some of the lines are too sketchy and it seems like your not sure were some of them go (but if course you could still be working on it)... i'de say keep going on this one its hard to crit cause it looks unfinished... it does look like you know what ur doing here...
great linework man! definitly keep going on this sketchbook and def stayfresh your gunna need it to kill time!
O so your in Fort Bliss thats coo cause an old friend of mine was stationed there for a while as well!

dude the "A night with steve hui" piece is amazing!!! how did you get those crisp edges in only 2.5 hours? the rotting fruit/candle is on point my man. i hate to admit it, but these are wonderful! i'm looking for an artist to do my comic book story of a young man maturing into his secret powers of "tha mud butt". i think your green dude's expression matches up perfectly with my story! Mannnn...i've lurked on here for a while and found no reason to post until now. you're amazing! keep posting and loosen up on some of your drawings. compare your figure drawings to some of the figures/character drawings from your sketchbook, they're really loose in comparison. put some of that looseness into your creative drawings. like i said if your interested in the mud butt story let me know, we can make hundreds!!
