Artists needed to make hand drawn postcards - Size stipulation is 7 inches by 5 inches and postcards to be open cards for all occasions. Artists need Paypal account and prices for the postcards will be between 15 dollars to 50 dollars US.

I notice nothing is said about how many printings, you retaining the copyright, all those silly little issues professional artists are so unconcerned with...
But, go to the website (WARNING - TURN OFF YOUR SPEAKERS!) and get your own "feel" for this entrepernureal enterprise...

Honestly i have to laugh at you but your obviously welcome to your opinion ... !

7 inches by 5 inches sketches ... ok ... backed onto card and sent in an envelope to the buyer .. the artist receives 80 to 82 % of the sales price ...!

I want you to describe to me why this is a rip off .... !
for every one postcard that i put up it takes me 10 minutes to put it up on my site .. it takes the artist upto perhaps depending on the quality 1 hour .. to make .. !

This is the problem .. you people are artists .. and you think that customers are your enemy ... art dealers speculate ok .. SO DO BUYERS art dealers like me try to make the speculation for buyers easier .. a quality product that is accessible. ! ACESSIBILITY means that artists have work .. UNACCESSIBILITY means that artists have no work ... !

If you think a 7 inch by 5 inch sketch on card priced between 15 to 50 dollars is a rip off where the artist recieves 80 to 82 % of the sales price .. YOU SHOULD GIVE UP ART ... ! BECAUSE im afraid to say you are clueless about the subject.

This offer open to artist that may want to earn a very nice living - and allows them to earn a little money whilst their main work is selling.

Honestly you people have to think about what it is that your trying to advise people .. if you want another vettrianno and think every artist is a vettrianno let me tell you the facts .. 0.1 % of all artists make it to that level 0.01%

do you understand .. 35 % make a nice living and never make the newspapers ..

40 % make a reasonable living ..... ! your reasonable is probably not my reasonable ...

25 % make NOTHING EVER .... !

The customer is the man you have to please do you understand this .. ! Any starting out artist that thinks customers will come to them are mistaken ..... in the realm of fine art...! You have to get your work out there .... and in the realm of fine art your gonna make a nice living if you understand that the customer wants an investment most of the time...!

Picasso sold his sketches for melons do you understand this .. MELONS ...!

Van Gogh gave his sketches away for BREAD and JAM ---- !

The world has moved on thats a fact - there are three markets ok .. if you dont know what they are then i laugh at the number of people that have no idea what those three art markets are .. ! I speak to artists all day and other people at sites - ALL DAY every day .. and 65 % dont even know the three markets that exist ... in the world .. in the case of fine art ... THERE ARE THREE and that is IT .. !

I make it so easy for artists to just do what it is that they are good at .. ART .. leave the clever stuff alone....honestly.

For example tell them about sites and their terms .. etc .. because artists need this info and this is a great forum .. you have here ... !

I dont deal in comp work at all .... I pray for the day that i can charge 300 dollars for a hand drawn postcard that is 7 inches by 5 inches that will depreciate in value .. but i cant that is why i exist ... an artist sells five to ten postcards do you not think that every single printing postcard production co-orperation on the planet would not want to hire that artist ... ! Do you think i advise them to take that route .... NO WAY...!

Copyright .. wake up ... copyright reamins the artists ok .. always will always has .. unless advertised .. as not doing so ... !

IE that the copyright is included in the price --- whi9ch of course it isnt ...in the case of these postacrds ... !

Its a really good idea ... and it is MY IDEA ... so there you go .. Fine Art hand drawn postcards .. Never before done ..... Hurts you doesnt it this FACT .. !

Hey fellas im not trying steal your people that visit this site .. i have upmost respect for what it is that concetpart does .. it prob the best forum on the net ...

My site is probably the best gallery on the net ... but you know to me .. in the case of the business of art you have absolutely no idea ... !

Its not in my interest okj to have artists leave my site ... i work on 400 exhibtiing artists ... thats my target ... 400 .... i have 40 odd ... !

Postcards will be a way for artists once i hit that 400 to show me that they can make quality fine art .... ! I look through ten to twnety artists a day ... A DAY ok and have done for some time ... of these people ... perhaps two have decent work .. that feel is accessible .. That doesnt mean just because i personally dont like it that it isnt good ... ! and i freely admit this ..!

But there are other websites out there ... ! As for making money .. of course i want to make money .. but i also want to make the artists money and the customers ... !

Thats the difference between me and the other sites .. !

I have aged professionals comintg to me and on my site OLD men and Women that hgave been professional artists for fifty years wanting to shop their work .. !

So you know .. please don't tell me i don;'t know what im talking about ...!

seriously its pointless doing so .. ! Raise a topic and we can have a discussion dont slag off my site ... it makes you look silly !

Dude.. seriously you're whole operation is a crock of shit. Artists get paid up to 80 bucks an hour and typically start at around 30-40... if they work for a full hour on your crappy card they deserve more then "up to 50 dollars!!!!!111". Most artists who are worth their weight will drop up to 6 hours into 1 piece before it passes their own personal standards... and then you give them a major paycut? You're only hope are desperate 13 year olds on deviant art, who will give you nothing but shit anyhow. All you are doing is trying to steal from talented artists so you can make quick and easy money yourself selling their work. Oh yea, you pay (up to) 50 bucks, but how much do you MAKE when you add up all the numbers?
