Hey ya'all... just a new guy in town... thought I'd show you all a couple of my sketches...

this one was in a local subway about a couple of days ago... going for the Ben Shaun, Cobert, and a few other old school illustrator -effect...

this was yesterday at an outdoor concert/battle of the bands at my school

I've been trying to work more with figures in context and whatnot... just trying to jot down more information with background and all...

PLEASE CRITIQUE my work! I take contructive criticism very well... so give me your best shot!

thanks and aDios

Yeah, like the life drawings.
Can't wait to see more.

Figures are the coolest theme to draw. http://www.conceptart.org/forums/images/icons/icon14.gif

/e: im missin' shading in the first one, but i think it's supposed to have none.

oo ya le nice sketches.

Definitly keen to see some more rendered like the bottom lot... those seated figures are primo. You are obviously comfortable with life sketching.

Got any concept stuff for our eyes?.

But will have to work on some more stuff.... peace out!

Great life drawings! I esp. like the backside views of the women! Nothing to crit yet. Did you experiment with negative shapes in the first one?

thanks jester. Well I move in and out of stages... experimenting with using line and using no line... using shadow and no shadow... working from inside the figure to out... etc etc.. the list could go on! These ones in particular I was doing more of line-type work. I havn't done line work in awhile so I was going for more of a linear approach... I should probably experiment more with negative spaces... trying to see the negative forming the positive. That's a hard one to do. Thanks for your comments
