how much does color have to do with concept art?
I am asking because SOMEONE is to embarrassed to ask this question himself. anyway, he's colorblind and mostly works in black and white. maybe i should post this in the portfolio help section.... oh well. So, his best work, because he's most sure with it, is monochromatic. could you still get a job doing concept art without color? Is that too much of a limitation? what do you think? are any of you colorblind?

(to give you an idea, we were talking today and he thought the Lakers colors are yellow and blue...) i'm gonna get killed for saying that.

I'm colorblind, (the correct term is "Color Deficient" haha )
My childhood was filled with pictures drawn of brown grass and purple skies.:) I was about to start a thread asking the same question. So, I am interested if anyone else is colorblind, because I want to be a concept artist.

i think black and white is good, I don't see anything wrong with it. all my art is in b&w and everyone likes it.

I would much rather see brown grass and purple skies anyway.
